Closing Firefox -> reopening to Twitch is the way to go as all the settings will have returned like nothing happened, plus the cookies stored stay low in 17 range or whatever. It may be nothing but I found trying to fight the settings by clicking away all the "new" things you get off Twitch as pointless and only caused it to happen more frequently. I am tempted (despite what some have said) to just clean uninstall Firefox and start over, but I do want to kind of figure this out, even out of interest hah.įWIW I do find that if I'm not poking around on Twitch in the settings or opening streams off pop up notifications and/or recommendations it tends to prolong the amount of time it lasts without the settings freaking out and having to close re-open Firefox.Īn interesting thing I noted when I was for a while constantly clicking off all the "new" settings it pops up when it lost them the amount of cookies stored in Firefox from Twitch would go up dramatically. Yeah for sure, I read something about how Firefox handled storage of data or something relating to BTTV etc possibly being the issue.
